Cheap Flights to Korea: When Airline Discount Codes Open in the Korea Grand Sale
Yes, you can get discount codes on flights to Korea this season. Eight Korean airlines release their own codes for travelers flying in from abroad, each on its own date: Air Seoul on November 1, Jeju Air on November 11, Aero K on November 23, and Korean Air, Jin Air and Trinity Airways on December 1, with Eastar Jet and Air Busan still to be scheduled. The codes come through the Korea Grand Sale, Korea's winter festival for international visitors. Each one has a short booking window and a separate travel window: Jeju Air's first round, for flights from Japan and Taiwan, sold for one week in October for travel in February 2027.
When Do Flight Discounts to Korea Open, and Which Airlines?
Last updated: October 29, 2026. This guide is updated at the same address each time another airline opens its offer.
The Korea Grand Sale is Korea's winter shopping and tourism festival for international visitors, organized by the Visit Korea Committee with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Its flight program, Promotions for Discounted Flights to Korea, is where Korean airlines take turns releasing discount codes on flights into Korea. The openings are staggered from November 1 to December 1.
Eight airlines are on the list. Here is where each one stands, in the order the official page shows them.

| Jeju Air | November 11 (next round) | First round: Japan and Taiwan to Incheon, Busan and Gimpo. Next round: not announced yet | First round ended October 27 |

Confirmed on the official site: the eight airlines, the opening dates for six of them, and the full details of Jeju Air's first round (see the next section).
Not announced yet:
- Opening dates for Eastar Jet and Air Busan
- Routes, departure cities, discount rates, codes, booking windows and travel windows for every airline except Jeju Air's finished first round
- The opening time of day for each offer
Until an airline opens, its slot on the official page just says Coming Soon. Treat any discount rate or route you see quoted for those airlines as a guess. When each offer goes live, we add its routes, dates and conditions here.
Which Departure Cities Get the Deals?
So far, only one round has published its routes: Jeju Air's first promotion, which ran in October. It has ended, but it is the clearest picture of what these offers look like.
Who it was for. Travelers flying to Korea from Japan and Taiwan.
Routes from Japan.
- To Incheon: Narita, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Okinawa, Shizuoka, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, Oita, Kobe and Kagoshima
- To Busan: Narita, Osaka, Fukuoka and Sapporo
- To Gimpo: Osaka
Routes from Taiwan.
- To Incheon: Taipei
- To Busan: Taipei and Kaohsiung
- To Gimpo: Kaohsiung
The discount. Up to 7% off with a discount code. Some fares and some dates were excluded.
The dates. Booking ran for one week, from October 21 to October 27, 2026. The travel window was February 1 to February 28, 2027. The official page also notes that booking and travel periods vary by departure country or region, so the airline's own page has the final word for your route.
Three things stand out. The booking window was short, only seven days. The travel window sat months later, in February. And the code was not a flat cut on every seat. Other airlines' offers may follow a similar pattern, but check each one when it opens. Their routes and rates have not been published yet.
The round has closed and its code no longer works. Jeju Air's next opening on the official calendar is November 11.
How Do You Use an Airline Discount Code for Korea?
The mechanics are simple. The details are where people slip.
How a code works. The Korea Grand Sale page lists the offer and its code. You then book on the airline's own website or app. Search your route and dates, pick a fare and enter the code in the promo or discount code field before you pay. If the fare or date is excluded, the code won't apply, and the price stays the same. "Up to" means the top rate. Your discount can be smaller depending on the fare.
Two windows, two calendars. Every offer has a booking window (when you can buy) and a travel window (when you can fly). In Jeju Air's first round, you had to book within one week in October to fly in February. Miss the booking window and the deal is gone, even if your trip fits the travel dates perfectly.
Tips before you book:
- Mark the opening dates. Booking windows can be as short as a week. Plan your dates before the offer opens, so you only need to search and pay.
- Read the airline's own terms. The festival page gives the outline. The airline page sets the rules: which fare types count, which dates are blocked, and the change and refund conditions.
- Check what is excluded. Some fares and dates are left out on purpose. If the code is rejected, that is usually why.
- Look at the total, not the percentage. Taxes, fuel surcharges, seat selection and checked bags can be priced separately. Compare the final amount at checkout with the airline's usual fare for the same dates.
- Mind your departure city. Offers are set per route and per country. The same airline can have different conditions from Japan and from Taiwan.

When Should You Fly to Catch the Deals?
Fly inside the travel window printed on the offer. That is the only date range that decides whether a discounted fare applies. In Jeju Air's first round, it was February 1 to 28, 2027.
The travel window is not the same as the festival. Korea Grand Sale 2027 runs from December 23, 2026 to February 13, 2027. Jeju Air's February window overlapped the festival only for its first two weeks, and the rest came after the festival closed on February 13. If you also want the festival's shopping offers, land by early February. If you only want the cheaper flight, the travel window is the date that counts.
Korea runs more than one sale season. If you are coming sooner, our Korea Grand Festival visitor guide covers the autumn event's free palace entry and airport offers, and our guide to Black Friday in Korea maps Korea's sale calendar month by month.
Sol's Note
Here's the part people skip: the deadline that matters is the booking window, not the festival dates. Jeju Air's first round sold for seven days, then it was over. So decide your dates now, while nothing is open yet. When your airline's day comes, you only search, enter the code and pay.
And keep a backup. A code can come back with "not applicable" on the weekend you wanted. Have one shifted date ready, a Tuesday instead of a Friday, and you'll still catch the deal.
