The Remarried Empress Episode Release Schedule: How Many Episodes, Which Wednesdays and Where to Watch

When Does The Remarried Empress Come Out?

Last updated: November 4, 2026

The Remarried Empress is a ten-episode Disney+ original series adapted from the Naver Webtoon and web novel of the same name. It premieres today, Wednesday, November 4, with the first four episodes released together, and two more episodes arrive every Wednesday after that until the finale on November 25. All dates on this page are Korean dates.

The one thing still missing is the hour. Disney+ has announced the date but not the time of day the episodes go live, and it has not published a separate time for each region. Rather than guess, we will add the hour here once Disney+ confirms it. Until then, the simplest move is to add the series to your watchlist in the Disney+ or Hulu app, so the episodes are waiting there as soon as they go live.

If you want something to watch before the premiere lands, Disney+ and Hulu already carry a Special Look, a short official preview of the series.

It streams on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in other markets, in the original Korean with English subtitles or with an English dub.

This page is updated every Wednesday as new episodes arrive, so the schedule below always shows which episodes are already out.

How Many Episodes Are There, and When Does Each One Drop?

There are 10 episodes in total, released over four Wednesdays. The pattern is front-loaded: four episodes on day one, so the first evening covers far more than the setup, then a steady pair each week.

Week Date (Wednesday) Episodes Status
Week 1 November 4 1, 2, 3 and 4 Premieres today
Week 2 November 11 5 and 6 Coming next
Week 3 November 18 7 and 8 Upcoming
Week 4 November 25 9 and 10 (finale) Upcoming

The whole run takes three weeks from premiere to finale. That makes it easy to plan around. If you like to binge, waiting until November 25 gives you all ten episodes at once. If you like to watch along with everyone else, Wednesday is the day each week, and you can join late and still catch up by the next drop.

The weekly rhythm also suits the source. The webtoon was read one chapter at a time, with fans debating every cliffhanger in the comments, and a two-episodes-a-week schedule gives the drama the same space for conversation between drops.

Where Can You Watch The Remarried Empress in Your Country?

The Remarried Empress is a Disney+ original, so where you watch it depends on which Disney streaming service runs in your country. Disney itself puts it this way: the show streams on Hulu and Disney+, and availability may vary by region.

  • United States: Hulu, where it is billed as a Hulu Original.
  • Korea: Disney+.
  • Japan: Disney+, under its Japanese title, with the same four-episode premiere and two episodes every Wednesday.
  • Other Asian markets: Disney+. The local Disney+ channels in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia have all been promoting the series.
  • Latin America: Disney+, where the Spanish title is La Emperatriz Divorciada.
  • Europe: Disney+, where it has been announced in markets such as Italy and Sweden.
  • Canada, Australia and elsewhere: look for it on Disney+. Disney is releasing it as a global title but has not published a country-by-country list, so check the title page in your local app.
  • India: no local listing has been announced yet.

It is not on Netflix. If a site offers the episodes outside Disney+ or Hulu, it is not an official source.

On language, Disney offers two ways to watch: the original Korean audio with English subtitles, or a dubbed version with English audio. Subtitles in other languages depend on your region's version of the app.

Who's Who Before You Press Play

The story turns on four people, so it helps to have them straight before episode 1:

  • Navier (Shin Min-a), Empress of the Eastern Empire
  • Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon), the Emperor, her husband
  • Rashta (Lee Se-young), the runaway the Emperor brings into the palace
  • Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk), prince of the rival Western Kingdom

The setup is in the title. Sovieshu asks Navier for a divorce so he can be with Rashta. Navier accepts, on one condition: that her own remarriage, to Heinrey, be approved. Stills released from the first four episodes show where the premiere goes: Sovieshu and Navier facing each other with cold stares, and Heinrey kneeling before Navier with a blue rose. For a full profile of each character and the actors behind them, see our guide to who plays whom in The Remarried Empress.

If you want to read along, the source is more accessible than ever this month. Naver Webtoon began a new side story on October 29, released on its Korean service and its global service. Until December 1, the number of free chapters of the main webtoon on Naver Webtoon in Korea has been raised from 10 to 24, and on November 7 the complete original web novel can be read free on Naver Series for one day.

The Remarried Empress is one of several Korean stories this autumn that started on a reading app; tvN's Love in Disguise grew from a webtoon in the same way, and Netflix's Take Charge of My Heart began as a Naver web novel.

Sori's Note

Four Wednesdays is a short season by K-drama standards, and that changes how to watch it. With a sixteen-episode drama you can drift in and out. Here, missing one week means missing a fifth of the story, so I would pick a lane early: watch the first four episodes this week, then decide whether you are a Wednesday viewer or a November 25 binger.

My vote is for Wednesdays. A story built on one quiet, devastating request deserves a week to sit with each turn.

I'm Sori, BeautiPin Seoul's culture editor. In Korean, sori means sound, as in pansori, and sound is where my curiosity starts: a line from a drama, a chant at a festival, a chorus that travels the world. I keep too many playlists, collect concert pamphlets, and can't leave a tradition alone until I know why it survived.
