ITZY's Chaeryeong Goes Solo: Lovesick Release Time, Tracks and What the Trailer Shows
ITZY's Chaeryeong releases her first solo mini album, "Lovesick," on Monday, November 9, 2026 at 6 p.m. KST: 6 p.m. in Japan, 5 p.m. in Taiwan, and 4 a.m. Eastern / 1 a.m. Pacific in the US, with a countdown live one hour earlier. The four-track album is led by the title song "Lovesick," and she is the third ITZY member to go solo, after Yeji and Yuna.
When Lovesick Comes Out, in Your Time Zone
Last updated: October 29, 2026. This guide is updated at the same address as JYP Entertainment posts new teasers and schedules.
"Lovesick," Chaeryeong's first solo mini album, comes out on Monday, November 9, at 6 p.m. Korea time. The album and the music video for its title track, also called "Lovesick," go live together on Korean and global streaming services, and JYP Entertainment has scheduled a countdown live one hour earlier, at 5 p.m. KST.
- Korea (KST): Monday, November 9, 6:00 p.m. (countdown live 5:00 p.m.)
- Japan (JST): Monday, November 9, 6:00 p.m. (countdown live 5:00 p.m.)
- Taiwan: Monday, November 9, 5:00 p.m. (countdown live 4:00 p.m.)
- US Eastern (EST): Monday, November 9, 4:00 a.m. (countdown live 3:00 a.m.)
- US Pacific (PST): Monday, November 9, 1:00 a.m. (countdown live at midnight)
- UK (GMT): Monday, November 9, 9:00 a.m. (countdown live 8:00 a.m.)
US clocks fall back on November 1, so the American times above are standard time; the trailer's own end card gives the release as 6 p.m. KST and 4 a.m. ET. Japan shares Korea's clock, so fans there get the album at exactly the same moment, early on a Monday evening. Across East Asia it is an after-work release; on the US West Coast it lands in the small hours.
The 6 p.m. slot is the standard one for a K-pop release, the same hour ILLIT's BREAK EVEN arrived in on October 26. An English version of the title song follows on November 13 at 2 p.m. KST, the same day the US physical album is released.
What the Lovesick Trailer Shows
JYP announced the solo debut on October 19, posting a trailer, a track list and a promotion schedule together on its official channels. The trailer runs just under two minutes and is built like a magazine being leafed through. It opens on a sunlit yellow wall and a red bench, where Chaeryeong studies a poster asking whether anyone has seen "the girl," and then a pink book titled Lovesick takes over the screen. Its cover line sums up the premise: a story about a girl who never cared about love, until she fell in love.
From there, each spread is a different room. One page maps her personality like a flowchart, with words such as "control" and "predictability"; another sits her at a desk in a beret and a lace collar. A birthday cake, a small fire flickering on the floor of a pink living room, a lottery cage in a turquoise room with banknotes in the air: the narration runs through things that would rattle most people and leave her unmoved, before admitting that she has finally fallen for something. The trailer never says what.
The last shots move outdoors. Chaeryeong sits on a red ladder above a garden hedge under a clear sky, reading the same book, and a small green puff of fluff drifts toward her open hand before the title appears. The green, furry motif turns up again in the track list artwork, alongside apples on a lawn and a pastel suburban house. JYP has not explained the imagery, and the music video on November 9 is the first place to look for an answer.
Since then, four sets of concept photos have been released, on October 26 and 28, and on October 28 ITZY's YouTube channel posted a behind-the-scenes film from the jacket and trailer shoots.
The Four Tracks on Lovesick
"Lovesick" has four songs. JYP's track list credits each one as follows:
- "Lovesick" (title track): lyrics by Choi Si-yu and Wang Se-yun, both credited under the indie act Sweden Laundry; composed by mOnSteR nO.9 and Jonna Hall; arranged by mOnSteR nO.9.
- "Moonlit Club": lyrics by Ban Ye-ji (ARTiffect); composed by Shim Eun-ji, Lee Hae-sol and ADORA; arranged by Lee Hae-sol.
- "Scent": lyrics by Kwon Ye-rim and Hong Ra-im (153/Joombas); composed by SEORA, HONEYSWEAT, Lee Hyo-min and Sung Ji-woo (NiNE); arranged by HONEYSWEAT and Sung Ji-woo.
- "Favorite Reason": lyrics by Chaeryeong and Lee Yeon (ARTiffect); composed by Young Chance, Rebbi James, Rollie and Josefin Glenmark; arranged by Rollie.
Two details stand out. The lyrics of the title song come from writers credited to an indie act rather than a K-pop writing team, and the closing track, "Favorite Reason," carries Chaeryeong's own name as co-lyricist. SEORA, one of the composers of "Scent," is also credited on "Undefined," the solo song Chaeryeong released with ITZY earlier this year.
JYP has also scheduled a performance video covering both "Lovesick" and "Moonlit Club" for November 12, so the second track gets a performance of its own. Beyond titles and credits, the sound of the album has not been officially described yet. The album spoiler scheduled for November 6 is the first official preview of all four songs, and this section will be updated when it is out. The official lyrics appear on streaming services once the album is released.

Until JYP names a platform, the place to check on November 9 is ITZY's official YouTube channel and X account, where the label posts the group's announcements. If music show stages are confirmed, Korea's weekly music programs run from Tuesday to Sunday, and the broadcasters upload each stage to their official YouTube channels, usually within hours of the broadcast.
Release week also comes right after the Korea Grand Music Awards at Gocheok Sky Dome on November 7 and 8, the start of Korea's year-end award season.
The Third ITZY Member to Go Solo
Chaeryeong is the third member of ITZY to release a solo album, after Yeji and Yuna. Yeji, the group's leader, went first with the mini album AIR on March 10, 2025. Yuna, the youngest member, followed with her first mini album, ICE CREAM, on March 23, 2026. Lia and Ryujin have not released solo albums.
None of this means a step away from the group. ITZY remains a five-member group: the five toured together on their third world tour, TUNNEL VISION, from February to early October this year, and their 12th mini album, Motto, came out on May 18. The solo albums have come between group releases, one member at a time.
Chaeryeong's debut also lands in a busy stretch for solo projects from members of active groups. Jisoo's first solo album, for one, is being rolled out through pre-release singles this autumn, while BLACKPINK continues as a group.
Chaeryeong So Far: Audition Shows, ITZY and Two Solo Songs
Chaeryeong's path to the stage started on television. She appeared on SBS's audition show K-pop Star 3 together with her older sister, singer Lee Chae-yeon, and in 2015 she competed on Mnet's SIXTEEN, the JYP survival show that formed TWICE. She did not make that lineup, stayed with JYP, and debuted as a member of ITZY on February 12, 2019, with "DALLA DALLA."
Inside ITZY she is known as a dancer first, with clean, light lines in the choreography, and for steady live vocals. The group's fandom is called MIDZY.
Her own songs are the best preview of what a solo Chaeryeong sounds like. "Mine," her solo track on ITZY's January 2024 mini album Born to Be, carries her name in the writing credits. "Undefined," on Motto in May 2026, was first performed on the TUNNEL VISION tour, where each member had a solo stage; its dreamy, unhurried mood was the closest thing to a solo statement she had made before "Lovesick." This is the first time a whole release has been built around her.
Sori's Note
A debut built on indifference is an unusual choice. Most debut concepts announce what an artist loves; "Lovesick" spends its whole trailer listing what Chaeryeong shrugs off, and holds back the one thing that finally gets to her. It is a confident way to start, because it asks you to wait for the song instead of selling you a mood in advance.
It also fits her. In ITZY she has often been the member whose precision you notice on the second watch. So keep an eye on the November 12 performance video before deciding what you think: with a dancer, the choreography is half of the song.
